The Challenge

Create new marketing and promotional assets that are consistent and seamless with their branding.

Having gone through a brand refresh recently, I was approached by a marketing manager within HubSpot to work on various ebook designs (and re-designs) as well as multiple online marketing campaigns incorporating this new style.

Their new look was bold, enthusiastic and full of energy and unfortunately their existing promotional materials were not consistent with this new identity and needed updating. Any new assets created also needed to adhere to their newly updated brand guidelines. It was my job to ensure these were implemented successfully.

Creating a strong and memorable visual design identity communicates your unique value and helps grow a loyal customer base.

The Approach

The purpose of content marketing is to attract and retain customers by consistently creating relevant and valuable content with the intention of enhancing consumer behaviour through using a product or service. Brand consistency is vital to this!

With that in mind, HubSpot invested a great deal of time and effort developing a central resource hub that included brand guidelines, usages, and assets. It was built to make it as easy as possible for vendors such as myself to deliver on-brand designs while respecting any brand restrictions. My goal was to embrace that information and implement it successfully.

Successful businesses include design as part of their business strategy from the beginning, because it can save you money and result in a better experience for your customers.

Good design builds your image

Ebooks have become a great way to assist in the sales nurturing process, or as a way to capture new prospect leads. When designed well, is not only informative, but is also engaging.

I worked closely with the marketing team to develop high quality ebooks which were focused on content layout, design and advertising. We created an impactful way to showcase the content by combining quick digestible text, easily-understood graphical data, infographic style elements, appropriate imagery and a consistent look and feel, all within the HubSpot brand.
